Shhh… It's nearly 9 pm, and I'm just now sitting down to write something today.
I had the best of intentions as I crawled into bed last night. I was banking on a solid eight hours of sleep. But someone who shall not be named (side glance to the other side of the bed) woke me up to 'move' just as I hit that sweet spot that is oh so nice as you first fall to sleep.
There may have been some grumbling on my part.
And then, the rest of the night was tossing and turning, perimenopause sweating, getting up for the bathroom, and just a general nonsleeping state.
Needless to say, when the alarm went off this morning at 8 am I promptly shut it off and curled back up to snore for a bit longer.
I got up just in time to get to the dentist for my teeth cleaning.
I'm happy to report that I have no cavities and my gums that were starting to recede are healing rather nicely. I have one small filling from around 15 years ago that will need to be redone in the next year or so.
I celebrated my teeth victory at Raising Cane's with Mister for lunch and then hit up Torrid for a few new clothes.
I was going to cook tonight, but we decided to do the 'fend for yourself night' tonight. We met Ms H after she got off work at McAlister's. Mister and I had a spud each while Ms H went with some kind of turkey sandwich. It was really nice to let someone else do the cooking and cleaning up tonight.
Somehow it's only Tuesday, and I already feel like it's been a week. My dental tech reminded me today that tomorrow is just the halfway point. It's going to be a really long week if I don't start getting better sleep.
Things I have left to do this week:
- put up the last of the Halloween indoor decor
- make chicken broth (the vegetable broth is done)
- iron
- clean another patch of the tile floor
- clean couches with leather cleaner
